Though Tata Nexon continues to be one of the best-selling SUVs in the country, sales may decline if the automaker fails to roll out timely updates on the model to keep up with new competitors.
That being said, Tata Motors have been spotted testing the facelifted version of the Nexon SUV quite a few times now and the images of the test mules are already viral within the automotive community.
This upcoming updated Nexon SUV is expected to come equipped with more powerful and refined powertrain options as well as come equipped with better features as well. It is also rumoured that the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift will come with ADAS on the top-spec models.
Diving into details, the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift is expected to sport a more powerful turbocharged petrol engine with around 125bhp of peak power and well more than 200Nm of peak torque.
In comparison, the outgoing version of the Tata Nexon produces 118bhp of peak power and 170Nm of peak torque from its 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Furthermore, this engine can be specified with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
Speaking about the gearbox, it is also speculated that the upcoming facelifted iteration of the Tata Nexon SUV is likely to sport a DCT gearbox. This will help improve the refinement and have a positive impact on the driving experience.
In terms of design, we expect Tata to retain the coupe-like roofline of the outgoing model. However, the nose and tail sections of the sub-4m SUV is expected to receive a complete overhaul consisting of full-width LED light bars on both ends, split headlamps, and a few more design elements.
In terms of features, we also expect the newer 10.25-inch infotainment unit and fully digital instrument cluster from the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs to replace the ageing 7-inch infotainment unit and part digital instrument cluster on the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift,
