Mahindra recently introduced the Everest White shade on the new Mahindra Thar RWD SUV and the new colour option attracted the interest of quite a few buyers in the country.
Though this new Everest White shade was not available on the Mahindra Thar 4X4 at that time, a recent Instagram post by the automaker revealed that the Mahindra Thar 4X4 can be specified with this new colour option. Unfortunately, Mahindra soon removed this post from the social media platform.
This means Mahindra could very soon launch the Thar 4X4 SUV with this new Everest White colour option. Also, the now-deleted Instagram post captioned “An Avalanche Of Style Now In 4X4” further implies that the company is indeed working in the background to launch the Thar 4X4 in Everest White.
That being said, Mahindra Thar 4X4 comes with two engine options. The 2.2-litre, turbocharged diesel engine pushes out 130bhp of peak power and 300Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine produces 150bhp of peak power and 300Nm of peak torque.
In terms of gearbox options, both powertrains can be specified with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is also worth mentioning that the top-spec LX variants of the SUV can be specified with or without MLD (Manually Locking Rear-Differential).
Coming to the dimensions, the Mahindra Thar 4X4 measures 3,985mm long, 1,820mm wide, 1,855mm tall and sports a wheelbase of 2,450mm. Furthermore, the SUV sports 226mm ground clearance and it has an approach angle of 41.2 degrees along with a departure angle of 36 degrees.
Thoughts About Everest White Colour Option On The Thar 4X4
The Everest White colour option is the only light shade available on the Mahindra Thar SUV. This light shade coupled with the black-coloured roof, bumpers, wheel arches, cladding, and rearview mirrors lend the SUV a nice contrasting look that is very difficult to overlook.
